About Lawyer
Hussein Pirani is Legal Counsel at the Toronto office having joined Aviva Trial Lawyers in 2023. Prior to this he worked in private practice as counsel on several matters comprised of insurance defence and coverage for a wide array of tort and accident benefits claims. His current area of practice is insurance defence with a focus on accident benefits.
Hussein received his undergraduate degree from Western University in 2016. He went on to obtain his LLB from the University of Birmingham in 2018 and was called to the bar in 2022. Hussein has attended various levels of court and proceedings including the Licence Appeal Tribunal, the Workplace Safety and Appeals Tribunal, the Court of Justice, and the Superior Court of Justice.
Hussein is passionate about legal technology and access to legal services. During his time with the Legal Innovation Zone, he developed a minimum viable product and conducted extensive market research on the proposed use of a web-based application which sought to support, guide, and educate self-represented parties though every stage of their matter in Ontario Small Claims Court.

Personal Interests
Outside of law, Hussein is an avid fan of Chelsea Football Club. He enjoys spending time with his family members, playing video games, and is passionate about mixed martial arts. He cultivates connections in his community and in Ontario more broadly, to encourage the betterment of people and the communities they live in.
