About Lawyer

Jenny Omand is Litigation Counsel at the Toronto office. Jenny joined Aviva Trial Lawyers in June 2019, and in July 2022 started her current role as Litigation Counsel. Her area of practice is insurance defence litigation. Prior to Aviva Trial Lawyers, Jenny undertook e-discovery document review contract assignments and worked in legal claims at small travel insurance company and then as their compliance manager. Originally a family law solicitor from England, Jenny moved to Canada in 2008 and subsequently obtained her Canadian Barrister and Solicitor Degree after undertaking the transfer examinations through the National Committee on Accreditation. Jenny was called to the Ontario Bar in 2012. 

Personal Interests

Jenny has a keen interest in health and fitness with emphasis on nutrition-based health. She enjoys reading and walking and is an avid euchre player. Jenny enjoys trivia and is confident that she can find something to talk about with almost anyone she meets.
