About Lawyer

Matthew (Matt) Miklaucic is a lawyer at Aviva’s Ottawa office. He joined Aviva Trial Lawyers in 2022. Prior to working with ATL, Matt worked at a boutique firm in Ottawa with a focus in litigation. Matt obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Western Ontario in 2019 and was called to the bar in 2020. He has represented clients before the Small Claims Court, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Landlord and Tenant Tribunal and the Ontario Court of Appeal. Matt is an active member of the County of Carleton Law Association, the Advocacy Club, and the Ontario Bar Association. He is also a volunteer with Pro Bono Ontario.

Personal Interests

When he is not working, Matt enjoys all things sport (playing, watching, attending), as well as spending time with family and friends. He enjoys travelling, especially if that means exploring the local hikes, trails, restaurants, breweries, and vineyards. An Ottawa native, Matt is an avid advocate of the city and all it has to offer.
