About Lawyer

Noella is senior counsel in the Accident Benefits Group at the Toronto office of Aviva Trial Lawyers (ATL) having joined August 2022. Prior to this she was a partner at a prominent insurance defense firm in Toronto. 

Noella is a graduate of the University of Prince Edward Island (BA) and Dalhousie Law School (LLB).

Noella was called to the Bar in Prince Edward Island in 1994 and the Law Society of Ontario in 1996 where she practiced personal injury litigation with a focus on accident benefits. Noella is also a member of the Law Society of England and Wales and the BVI Bar Association.

Noella spent almost 20 years offshore as a shareholder and director of a boutique financial services firm with a strong focus on Captive Insurance and regulatory compliance.

Noella has appeared before the Ontario Court and the Financial Services Commission of Ontario.

Personal Interests

Noella’s personal interests include fitness and nutrition.  In addition to being a lawyer she is a Certified Nutritional Practitioner and Meditation Teacher and is passionate about both.  She also loves spending time in nature, cooking and reading.
