About Lawyer

Susanne Ilic is Senor Litigation Counsel at the Toronto office having joined Aviva Trial Lawyers in March 2024.  Prior to this, she practised insurance defence litigation at two downtown boutique insurance defence firms.  Her practice included all aspects of insurance tort litigation, including municipal liability, automobile liability, occupiers’ liability, professional liability and product liability. 

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Susanne had a career with the Ministry of Corrections counselling and supervising convicted offenders serving criminal dispositions and was responsible for training, supervising and evaluating front-line staff.

Personal Interests

Susanne is an avid traveller and home cook and enjoys watching sports, particularly basketball and tennis.  She has been practising yoga for over 20 years and is certified as an instructor.  She has recently started a pilates practice.
